Houston Art Car Parade – Saturday May 12, 2012

This year's annual Houston Art Car Parade will be held on May 12, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The parade will take place along Allen Parkway from Waugh Drive to Bagby. The Houston Art Car Parade boasts being Houston's largest free public art event.  It requires the help of over 300 volunteers each year and would not happen without the generosity of numerous individual and corporate sponsors. Driver Who Killed Two Pedestrians and Their Dog on Seawall in Galveston, Texas Could Face Intoxicated Manslaughter Charges

Houston Chronicle Report Equals More Bad News For Pit Bull Owners

A recent review of Houston dog bite incident reports between 2006 and 2011 deals another blow to pit bull advocates insistence that the dogs are not a bad breed. The Houston Chronicle published their findings on April 1, 2012, in which they found that the most common breed of dogs involved in attacks are pit bulls with a total of 2,737 bites.  The next closest breed is German Shepherd with 1,729 bites. Contractor Falls 60 Feet Through Roof at Malin International Ship Repair and Drydock in Galveston, Texas

A contractor fell through a roof panel while pressure washing the roof at Malin International Ship Repair and Drydock in Galveston, Texas,Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
