Strippers For Justice: Houstonians Fight Rape With Pole Tax

Thanks to the recent Houston City Council meeting, Houston strip club patrons are now leaders in the fight against rape. No more excuses necessary.   "Honey, I'm doing it for justice." The Houston City Council has officially passed its own version of a "pole tax."  There will now be another five dollar tax on adult-oriented business goers.  The proceeds are to be used to pay for the processing of the huge back log of unprocessed rape kits. Houston Art Car Parade – Saturday May 12, 2012

This year's annual Houston Art Car Parade will be held on May 12, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The parade will take place along Allen Parkway from Waugh Drive to Bagby. The Houston Art Car Parade boasts being Houston's largest free public art event.  It requires the help of over 300 volunteers each year and would not happen without the generosity of numerous individual and corporate sponsors.
